From capstone project to field-tested robot
NYSD was founded by Noumbissi Yamdjeuson Stanley Derek, a software engineering graduate of ICT University in Yaoundé and founder of the ICTU Robotics Society. AgriBot began as his final-year capstone project — successfully defended in 2026 with a working ground robot, sensor suite, and mobile app already in hand.
Since defending the project, Derek has extended it well beyond its original scope: adding an on-board edge-computing server, live video streaming with computer-vision camera control, a production Android app, and dual online/offline operation with cloud sync.
That combination of embedded-systems depth, full-stack and mobile engineering, and hands-on entrepreneurial execution is what NYSD is built on — and why AgriBot exists as a real, field-tested product rather than a slide deck.
