Share a phone's location with trusted people, manage connected trackers, define zones and review alerts in one app. Phone-as-tracker mode works without a separate wearable; dedicated hardware remains in development.

Two ways to stay connected

NYSD Track combines phone-based location sharing and connected-device management. A compatible Android phone can report its own position to paired connections, without a separate wearable. Dedicated tracker hardware remains a separate development project.

Visible, consent-based sharing

Phone pairing uses a QR or access code and an explicit consent screen. Tracker mode shows who receives the phone's location, the last report and location-service status. Connections can be ended through the app; some connections may require a configured PIN. Android background reporting uses a visible notification and depends on permissions, battery settings, connectivity and device support.

Android development preview

The supplied APK is a debug-signed preview for ARM64 devices running Android 7 or later, not a production-signed store release. Accounts, maps and location sharing require network services. Availability, accuracy and battery life vary; NYSD Track does not replace supervision or emergency services.

Install this APK manually once; later releases are checked on launch, foreground return and periodically while active. Android requires your approval to install. Frequently asked questions

Can my phone be the tracker?

Yes. Phone-tracker mode pairs a compatible phone through a QR or access code after explicit consent. It shows sharing recipients and report status and provides controls to end connections.

How do APK updates work?

Download new versions from this page when published. In-place Android updates require the same package and signing certificate with a suitable version code. A future production signing key may require reinstalling this debug-signed preview. Store listings are not available yet.

Is the dedicated wearable available for purchase?

The wearable remains in development, with field trials planned. Phone-tracker mode is separate and does not require buying that hardware.

Is location accuracy guaranteed?

No. Accuracy and reporting depend on the phone or device, location services, permissions, power and connectivity.

Can it replace emergency services?

No. A tracker cannot guarantee a person's safety or continuous connectivity. Use appropriate supervision and contact local emergency services when needed.

Engineering notes

Built by real engineers, and we're upfront about what's still in progress.

The inspected source includes phone pairing, tracker mode, native Android reporting and five main app tabs. These are implemented preview capabilities, not a certification of every device or live service.

The supplied APK uses an Android debug certificate. A controlled production signing process is required before a production/store release. Hardware endurance and accuracy still require field validation.
